MAy you get love in your life and i got my love so this day is gonna be very very special for two reasons:

1. i am celebrating first VAlentine's Day after marriage.
2. as mentioned earlier i am starting my new blog on fashion and travelogue..

so here goes the review:

by ankita...

If I were asked to describe life on pages, I would definitely say nothing can better describe life than these 200-300 hundreds leaves that have turned out to be called FFactor. One can find each and every Feeling of life in the book, let it be Fun or Frolic or Friendship or Fashion. A journey that each and everyone begin with a place called college, a platform where everyone of us learn not just what we are taught, rather lot more, what we live, we see, and learn and urge to relive, and come out with ethics, values, philosophy and experience that stays through the lifetime.

FFactor is a book that connects every college-goer, passed outs and the aspirants as well with what they have lived or what they will live, what they are missing or what they are going to miss. Not just that, the book too connects with fashion freaks too, those who live by the Paris display-outs. The book covers how fashion, which means nothing to some ultimately, defines the personification of an individual and how geeks can discover this out!
Ojal, the protagonist and the narrator in the book, basically a simple, studious and small town girl discovers a newer herself through every page, still stays the same 5 yr old girl, by heart, who would run even for a single scoop of ice-cream or a new book in the book store. The book is all about how she finds a bunch of shoulders where she can put her head and sob or sleep or even pat them while chilling out. Max, a responsible and dedicated character, Karan a studious and friendly character and Stuti, a cute, a romantic and girlish character altogether form the pillars of friendship which Ojal cherishes even after years long of leaving her college, her very own NIFT. Sam, the character which normally many girls dream of dating and every boy urges to be, is the one for whom Ojal feels her pink fumes oozing out and gets back his too! In short, the journey which began with Ojal as a simple and studious girl, runs with so many friends, she finds, so many feelings she gets to know, the way she learns fashion, the way she discovers her craze, her lunatics, her love her passions and ends with how she comes out to be a complete lady! The book is worth reading for all those who believe life is too short to be spent regretting for things done or not done, but a short and sweet journey to be spent with living each and every moment to the fullest.

p.s. my book's first and still my fav review till date:)

F Factor is a book for all tastes of friendship. This skillfully craft novel contains Friendship, Fun, Family, Fashion, Fame etc. in a neat package that is not just entertaining but challenges your mind and imaginations.
Geetanjali, the author has created word images so vivid it is almost like watching a movie.
A Niftian has the ability to communicate the experience of college days, and this keeps the story moving at a breathtaking pace.

F Factor is a masterful blend of friendship and fun, with liberal dashes of love and generous pinches of wit, bound together by a stirring romance that not only transcends time, but forever binds present to past.

The author and her love interest along with the National Institute of Fashion Technology team travel through this spellbinding novel toward destiny and providence, transformation and fulfillment to the exciting conclusion that will leave you both satisfied and wanting more.

I read this story in its first draft form, but that did not prepare me for the final composition. The author took the time to add details for the readers benefit. I find myself perusing the story, amazed at how each of the characters lives is strangely knotted with the others, and how they evolve and blend into the flow of the main plot.
F Factor really grabbed me and I read until it was finished, couldn't put it down. I loved it. I really enjoyed it. It is great!

So what is your dream?” Max asked me after every one had expressed their dearest dream. My answer surprised me the most.
I told them, “I want to write a book about all our moments together, on our friendship, on our freaking professors and life at NIFT.”
No one laughed and I continued, “You all are my best buddies, with whom I have shared so many ups and downs.”
So here was my confession: I was madly in love with NIFT.

Youth life today is all about Friend, Career and Fun. This book by Geetanjali Jha is about the different factors of life experienced by a middle class girl during her stay at a premier educational institute of India and period just prior and after this. These factors are related to different essence of friendship mixed with emotions, expectations, meetings and seperations . Beautifully weaved words mark this classic work of the author.
Characters with whom you can co-relate:
This book written as Ojal as pivotal character is a faction where a Girl pens her journey from School to a noted professional educational institution to entering professional life. Out of many characters around which might have been in sight the author has beautifully selected few characters and weaved her experience around and among them. Readers who has been through or can be through or are to be through this transformation period of life can easily co-relate or anticipate their proximity to F-factor. One can find a very Suggestive and Straight-forward character in Max (Mayur), a very caring friend in Stuti, a campus love triangle in Shalini-Karan-Nehal, an out of no-where yet very loving brother in Om, a multi targeted career aspirant in Deb, a friendship group in Famous Five, a somewhat weirdly enjoying Chingrighata group, real crush element in Samar (Sam), a not so interesting teacher in Baba, a professional mentor in Selvyn Natraj and neither last nor least an ideal crush in Rahul Dravid.

Life has different colours:
Along with characters the incidents and event has been beautifully weaved. A middle class small town girl gets through to a very reputed professional education institute their she experiences many an essence of friendship from love, hatred, care, selfishness, jealousy, enjoyment, crush, broken hearts, young dreams along with a part of journey from childishness to maturity. Every now and then between enjoyment with study their creeps in unexpected events like Ojal gets news of passing away of beloved Naniji and also much needed emotional support and care in that period, a secret of roomie and senior Alis’s life was shocking, loosing a friend Sarah,s life that too accidentally on a picnic trip and also many good ones like dream visit to an ideal crush’s life, intimate moments with love, care extended by friends in the hour of need, religious moments, professional moments.

Much to say but yet to conclude:
In short the F-Factor is a book covering different colours of life and friendship in a journey to career based on the dramatisation of experiences of the author Geetanjali Jha. Born in a middle class family, author became a part of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) family in 2004. She was gifted a library by her Grand-parents and this further ignited her passion towards books. Her capacity and ability to observe the happenings around and shaping them in words resulted in penning down of this book. This is the story of anyone of us, may be me, you, his or her either experienced or going to experience.
Really " if you follow all the rules you lose all the fun"

F factor is a awesome book written by awesome writer Geetanjali Jha. Actually today’s youth life story is all about fun, romance, friend etc but Geetanjali jha who is also youth of this generation, wrote the feelings of a middle class girl after entering in a premiere institute of India, really its very nice experience.

In this book we can find a very sensitive and luving friend in stuti,om who is really a very luving brother,a very straight character in Max , a small town simple and studious character in ojal.i liked ojal too much in this book because I felt this character similar to me.

Actually when I read this book I felt that every thing is happening in front of my eyes so really its nice writing sense of author Geetanjali Jha. If I say that every youth will find himself in this book charactere than its will not wrong its really true..read this book and take experience. Every youth should read F factor written by Geetanjali Jha.

happens in college life. Its a story about a small town girl who steps
into metropoliticon city and a different world of fashion. There she
meets different people Karan,Max,Stuti. Its a story in which Ojal,my
favourite character how she have maintained her studies without
compromising with fun.Its just a story about crazy college guys.It
shows how simply one moment is sufficent to bring changes in
life.Sam,the love of Ojal was just amazing and love part is discussed
so naturaly as it happens.

Here comes the much awaited feedback. "Max" reveals himself finally in real life but virtually--- I have been in love with the idea of writing this book since the time Geetanjali spill the bean about the thought. Never thought that the life that we think is so average, can look extraordinary and special when read in book. The book like its name totally refers to the "F" part of every youths life. The F here refers to Friends, Fights, Fantasies, Fun and not to forget FASHION. There`s hidden F*** words too without which the college life is actually incomplete(sorry cant hide my straightforward attitude, dats Max afterall). Obviously Author Geetanjali has added her own thoughts to develop each characters, but all are inspired from the real life(some parts are my thoughts too, specially the 1st time Mumbai Local scene & description of Mumbaiya life... now i am being too straightforward). Any one who will read the book will find some part of his/her personality in the characters rimmed up. The book covers every aspect of a collegian be it Friendship, love, anger, trust, mistrust, hatred, fun, sorrow, jealousy etc. etc. etc list is long.

This books makes me realise that "if you have an honest dream its gotta come true very soon in this life itself" & this is what Geetanjali has proven to all his Friends, Critics & loved ones.

So what are you waiting for go grab your copy now. People who are in 1st year in any college you will get lesson from it, ppl who just got passed out from college can gift this book to their friends so they can keep their college life close to their heart, others must read this so as to reminiscise their old college days.

Message to Author---When are you writing another book that covers the "After college" life. I know it was dreadful for the F-Factor characters yet adventurous journey after college. Waiting for all that & more.by Max

F-Factor,by Geetanjali Jha,is a book where everyone can find himself/herself.The characters are so appealing that one connects to it as soon as he starts reading.Memories of our time comes flashing.College days are the most treasured days in everybody's life.In those days we face the world on our perspective. We make life time friends, spend most happening time together. And also we discover life.

"For me small things matters a lot.I like to celebrate every moment" makes me think that if each one of us live life this way then who says that "I am unhappy".You cannot wait the whole life for something great to happen and then celebrate. In this book we find different characters, with different nature. The narrator ojal is the best one.She is just like me.I connect to her very much. Her love for chocolates, ice creams, banglore, panipuri, always good with all her friends. And want to see everyone happy. It makes me think about all that i want from my life. And how i can live it in a better way.Max is also one of my fav character.
whereas when u will know about stuti you will wish that you have someone like her.I have my stuti.

This book is a must read for all the teens.
I enjoyed every page of the book.

And this is my message to all of you in college or going to enter college.Make friends for life time.Live every moment and at BE A GOOD HUMAN BEING.

Thank you Geetanjali for the book and waiting for your next book. All the best By Ashima Gupta

p.s this review is very very special for me as this was the first review from a stranger who later became friend:)

geetanjali I would like to thank you for such a tremendous effort to bringout all the beautiful memories of NIFT in form of Ffactor.

Its a beautiful combination of Friendship, Fun, Family, Fashion, Fame, Suspense, Emotion, Love and every small & big thing happen those days.

This kind of effort really attract especially when a niftian has done this, I enjoyed every page of the book - it makes feel our very own story, or i should call each and every Niftian story.

Its similar in all the centres of NIFT. Ffactor is something where everyone can find himself/herself. Memories of our time comes flashing, those were the most treasured days of our life, we learn to face the world on our own way, We make life time friends, spend most happening time together. And most important we discover our Life.

Well Geetanjal, now i am waiting for your next book :) All the best !!

‎:-) .. Congrats for being an author,,gr8 debut attempt!!

Refreshed the sweet memories of time spent in college and school days with my friends... wished while reading if I would have also captured those part of my life as a diary entry or some thing(dont worry I wd not have written book ;-) ).

I still remeber my brother said to me while I was joining engineering college; "enjoy the most in these 4 years, later you will miss them". I really miss my college days, and always feel those were the most fun days of my life.About the book; it was pretty well written and there were twists in between to keep reader interested and guessing.. "OJAL" and sam are my fav character; in the very end BABA made an entry into this list like a super hero.. :) . Baba's charater makes a point that a huge no of people can also go wrong in judging a person; at the same point its very important for a to present himself properly for not being wrongly judged by others.

Ahhhh..lots to write but will stop here... by Vijay

SUPERB BOOK By Arunima
First of all congrats dear for fulfilling your dream of writing a book. the book is an awesome work by an awesome author. It's a kind of story that every student would like to live in his/her colg days. i wish my days were like these too. this book truly explains what the word 'friendship' means. the amity among all the characters of this book is just so adorable and is so reminiscent of my school days. my school days were just the same. i am unfortunate that i don't have such a colg life but i really wish i had it. i loved reading the book. when i started reading it, i couldn't stop reading it till i completed it. it is one of the best book i ever read on this cool topic of college days and friendship.
every student must read it. i could really relate myself with the protagonist i.e. Ojal :)
superb work by you dear. god bless you. i wish this book becomes a best seller :)

F- factor Book Review by Bembem Kongkham
A writer in making, Geetanjali Jha’s Debut novel is definitely an entertaining read and are accompanied by collages of a NIFTian life. Short fiction readers will love this one. F-factor is the story of a girl and her friends getting into college phase of their lives and like every teenager being excited about it. This is a sweet and salty tale of friendship, love, trust and faith which will take you down the memory lane. The author has managed to capture and present the college and teen life moments interestingly.
The bond between the friends is portrayed through the simplest incidents, where we all have been and done it! The book is pleasant because there are no over the top emotions or great heroism involved, It is a simple story told simply.
The author has written the book from her own experiences as the book reflects reality and has a feel of honesty to it. The incidents, the relationships & the characters are all very real which one can easily relate to.
A good read which will take you down the memory lane, will give you reasons to smile and will lighten your heart with its simplicity & sweetnes….
